Need a call bird for my larsen

if anyone near Dublin gets a magpie in could they get in touch ,i cant get them in with bait ,the starlings get in first close and the trap

Yeah or,i find some dog food in a foil tray {rice tray from chinky} works well for me...

Mirror, or eggs usually work.

I have a mirror in it and boiled chicken in each trap compartment but i'm releasing starlings from it about 3 times a day,i reckon i would get one in if it wasn't for the starling knocking it off

If starlings are setting the trap off try using a thicker perch, square rather than round dowl, I had the same problem with blackbirds but changed the perch & they are not heavy enough to set it off but magpies can. I use a decoy magpie or eggs seems to work, one you've got a call bird it's easy
