First Rifle -Hunting Rabbits

Recommended Posts

Hello mate welcome to the site !! As for a gun to shoot rabbits you may struggle to find something suitable in that price range that will despatch humanely. You might get a second hand gun for that but you may have to stump up extra for the extras !!!!!

If sticking strictly to 15-25 yards, believe it or not, a Crosman Ratcatcher with a half decent scope works a treat and is very accurate. I've killed 100's cleanly around farms with my humble Ratty. Great lil gun :)

You can save up over time for something for longer range shooting as you develop experience at shooting and then hunting.

Great advise and can't really offer that much more apart from saying that the Ratty is a great little light weight, medium range gun, but I would go for an HW springer first, every time.

If you stick with hunting, the HW will grow with your abilities and knowledge, the quality is pretty awesome from scratch, can be improved with a tune and although you probably will buy another gun at some point after, you will find it hard to beat as a springer.

The Ratty is great but not quite the same!

Hello mate welcome to the site :bye:

I think you might get a second hand springer up to the job for the money you are looking to spend, but if you can stretch to about £200 you might be able find a second hand weihrauch which will last you a life time if you look after it.
