GreyRider 0
Hi all, first post here. Looking to buy my first air rifle soon. Once I get used to it plan on hunting rabbits as I have land owners permission. Could anyone suggest any rifles? Budget is around £150. Quote Link to post
Sjt657 191
Hello mate welcome to the site !! As for a gun to shoot rabbits you may struggle to find something suitable in that price range that will despatch humanely. You might get a second hand gun for that but you may have to stump up extra for the extras !!!!! Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
If sticking strictly to 15-25 yards, believe it or not, a Crosman Ratcatcher with a half decent scope works a treat and is very accurate. I've killed 100's cleanly around farms with my humble Ratty. Great lil gun You can save up over time for something for longer range shooting as you develop experience at shooting and then hunting. Sjt657 191
Ratty is not a bad choice I have one with English walnut stock very accurate upto about 15 to 25 yards has a decent scope it's good and you can boost the power for hunting rabbit you just get less shots !! Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
Get you with your walnut stock! 1 Quote Link to post
gamesniper 4
hi pal i picked up a wehrauch hw77k for £180 with scope .its a very good rifle and great for bunnies.and with the right pellets you can get great groups at 25/30 so enough power/accuracy. 2nd hand is the only option for that price. hope this helps. ash Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Buy a rocket Dunc! Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
Great advise and can't really offer that much more apart from saying that the Ratty is a great little light weight, medium range gun, but I would go for an HW springer first, every time. If you stick with hunting, the HW will grow with your abilities and knowledge, the quality is pretty awesome from scratch, can be improved with a tune and although you probably will buy another gun at some point after, you will find it hard to beat as a springer. The Ratty is great but not quite the same! 1 Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
Buy a rocket Dunc! Like the Rocket III on paper, but can't find one that doesnt look gay. Can't imagine flicking it round traffic or the twisties. Filtering thru gridlock? Quote Link to post
77 si 21
Hello mate welcome to the site I think you might get a second hand springer up to the job for the money you are looking to spend, but if you can stretch to about £200 you might be able find a second hand weihrauch which will last you a life time if you look after it. atb Si Quote Link to post
GreyRider 0
Thanks for the advice been checking out the HW range. Is weihrauch the best way to go? If a good deal comes around would consider stretching. Rocket, awesome machine but would sooner take the Honda Valkyrie. How did you get on with the Tiger? Quote Link to post
