cabinet keys ....

Hello people,

 

I have my dads old cabinet all within check but it has only got one set of keys as he has lost the other set. Where do i stand on this? will i have to get a new set cut for it?

It makes sense to have a spare set. Otherwise, if you lose a key, you'll have to grind your way into your safe, and of course buy a new safe!

I found the spare key .... well me old dear has lol is it true that you have to give them to a person or not for safe keeping? have had to hammer right it as well after wire brushing it all and rust treating it its all solid though haha .... was good day on pigeons today Paul, me mate did shoot more though haha ....

Put your spare key some were safe and dont tell ANYBODY where abouts it is............

Elmer, your safest bet is either to hide the spare keys somewhere safe that they're not going to be found. Nobody who doesn't have a certificate covering all the weapons in the cabinet should have access to them. If someone knows where the keys are they are deemed to have access (short of them being locked in a safe deposit box at the bank) so if/when the FEO visits and asks your mum/wife/kids where the keys are kept, teach them the correct reply is "I've no idea".

dont have that problem as i said even i carnt remember where the spare keys are
