Elmer_Fudd 28
Hello people, I have my dads old cabinet all within check but it has only got one set of keys as he has lost the other set. Where do i stand on this? will i have to get a new set cut for it? regards Gareth Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
It makes sense to have a spare set. Otherwise, if you lose a key, you'll have to grind your way into your safe, and of course buy a new safe! Quote Link to post
paulus 26
i hid my spare keys 6 years ago when i moved here, i now have no idea where they are Quote Link to post

hendon ratter 3
Put your spare key some were safe and dont tell ANYBODY where abouts it is............ atb HR........ Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Elmer, your safest bet is either to hide the spare keys somewhere safe that they're not going to be found. Nobody who doesn't have a certificate covering all the weapons in the cabinet should have access to them. If someone knows where the keys are they are deemed to have access (short of them being locked in a safe deposit box at the bank) so if/when the FEO visits and asks your mum/wife/kids where the keys are kept, teach them the correct reply is "I've no idea".
