shell 42
No kits for us... Got an infertile hob given a while back, called Chesney (don't ask!). Put him in with our 3 jills and he's lived there for a few months. All happy as larry. You can see where this is going can't you. Opened the hutch on Sunday and there's a litter of 11. Oh dear. Oh s**t. Another jill is pregnant, and we're not sure if the other one is or not. Great. Best bit... a mate of ours has 4 jills, all came in season at the same time. Well Chesney has been living in the hutch with them 4 for the last 3 weeks. Oh dear. Shell Quote Link to post

ferreterno1 0
Just wondering if you could advise me on ferret genetics. Mine were 3 weeks last saturday. The grandsire is BEW, the sire is very pale polecat (don't know the fancy names!) & the dam is albino. I was really hoping for some BEWs. What do you think the chances are? Their eyes look like the white one in your photo. Is that one going to be BEW or albino do you think? All my white ones look like this. I suspect that they'll be albino as I'd never be luckyenough to have 6 BEWs! well mine dont have their eyes open yet but i can see which ones will be BEWS because there not pure white they have black flecks down their backs, but a couple are pure white so i suspect their ALBINO. In a weeks time i should know what ive got, and ill update the photos Quote Link to post
