Think about the number of folk out with dogs, and hound packs, bushing packs etc etc. Wouldn't we have had a 'Big Cat Collision' by now. Same with road accidents.

i dont disbelive it but looking at the uk i wouldn't say we've covered everywhere looking and theres alot of hiding places :hmm: :hmm:

Have a laugh mate the uk has a population density of 660 per sq mile just how wild and remote do you think it is??when you consider the usa with a population density of 83 per sq mile and they manage to find and hunt the cats they have.

Funnily enough i have seen one whilst out with a hunt terrierman and other mate near cheltenham a few years back, it came through 20mins before the hounds ;) Went past a 6bar gate so the 3 of us all saw the size of it (all turned to each other and said did you see that!) the hounds took the same trail showing a size comparison, it was fookin massive compared to them!!

Have also seen pug marks in the mud on farmland in wiltshire, big with no claw marks so not dog tracks!

Don't forget they can shin up a tree in seconds and you may well walk right on past without ever even knowing it was there!

Don't discount anything, several lynx have been shot, 1 was run over near peterhead in scotland. so yeah they are out there just not in big numbers.

Programme that was on the Discovery channel a few yrs back called A.B.C. which stood for Alien Big Cat , An expert in tracking big cats from America arrived here where there where lots of sightings , he seemed right on the ball and after extensive searching , tracks , kills , sightings ect he came to the conclusion that this persific area held NO big cats , it was quite interesting to watch !

interesting views from everyone, must admit though, im still finding there existance hard to beleive, maybe the odd one around 20 years ago , due to being released cause of the dangerous animals act. But to still be around now would suggest they are breeding, which i really think is a bit far fetched.
