KITS BORN TODAY

well went out to the ferrets this morning and had a quick listen and shes finally had them not sure how many yet will leave her a couple of days to settle down so will be ready to go to new homes in about 7 weeks so anybody interested in 1 just pm me and i will let you know when they are ready cheers DM

well good luck to you for finding them homes,, my opinion is 7 weeks is a bit early for ferrets to leave the jill, i think folk tend to assosiate them with puppies,,,, but there far difrent,,, personly i feel 10 weeks is the earliest ,, and better from 12 - 14 week.,,,

cheers tomo will just see how they go on eating and drinking around the 7 week mark i tend to seperate them for an hour or so then when a little older seperate them a little longer just to get them used to be without their mom for a while thanks for the advice cheers DM

why is that TOMO, i dont keep them my self , but when ive seen young kits in new homes most have been about 10 weeks old . Maybe you right then with the age ..! Ray

by 12 weeks im finding them little earths with bolters in every one to there own...... lets face it there eatin rabbits at 4 weeks and by 6 weeks if there not ready to go well i dont know then

7 weeks is ample ! sometimes the jill gets sick and eats the kits , and at 16 weeks the kits are fertile and we dont wont that do we ;) atb ryhope toma

 

whats a 16 week old kit, being fertile got to do with anything...????

 

and where did you get that information from,,, because with out even checking on the net,, i think your wrong,,

i ya spot on tomo av gettin me maturity way wrong its as early as 6 months , but your wrong about the weaning time , BUT A MAN WHOS MADE NO MISTAKES HAS FERRETED FECK ALL :thumbs:
