patterdalejoel 669
Honestly , They arent bad tie cords , not my favourite type , i used that design 15 yrs ago ...... Not brilliant in our weather conditions and i do not like That design of swivel ...... But servicable enough , and should see a year of constant use out Only a few years back i was getting 50 cords at a time sent in with postage for £25..... So they must have goune up a lot ????? I have to laugh at how green some of the replies are about the length of cord , its simple .... You add a swivel and the cord length required then add another swivel at the stake end One swivel is no where near enough on a cord And can cause a lot of trouble .....a bad tie cord set up has ruined many a bird Duckwing bloomin heck duckwing, must be good as its not in CAPS thanks for the comments, both positive and negative,

WELL FELLA , THERES A LOT OF MEN THAT HAVE BIRDS DECADES AND STILL KNOW NOTHING .......... REPEATING THE SAME MISTAKES MADE IN THEIR FIRST YEARS OVER AND OVER AGAIN ................. I KNOW LOADS THAT ARE LEGENDS IN THEIR OWN MINDS !!! AND JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVENT HAD A BAD EXPEREINCE WITH ONE SWIVEL DOESNT MEAN YOU WONT ! I CAN MAKE A TOP QUALITY TIE CORD IN 10 MINUTES AND IMPROVE SUCH AS THESE IN HALF THAT TIME . IF A MAN CANNOT BE BOTHERD TO SPEND THAT TIME ,.... HE DESERVES WHAT HE GETS ........... PARA CORD ? .............. WELL THERES TIE CORDS .......... AND THEN THERES TIE CORDS ! PJ , THAT REPLY WAS FROM MY PHONE ......... ON THE P.C. ITS CAPS ONLY IAM AFRAID ......... DUCKWING 302
PJ , YOUR TYPE ARE MADE FROM CORDAGE WHICH ARE TWISTED IN THEIR MAKE UP ,.............SAME AS ROPE PARA CORD IS WOVEN ........ AND GOOD PARA CORD IMO IS SUPERIOR FOR USE IN TIE CORDS AS IT DOESNT KINK OR UNTWIST THE THIRD TYPE OF TIE CORDS ARE THE RUBBER CORDS OFTEN SOLD HERE BY A MAN WHO IS ONE OF THE TYPES I DESCRIBED ,...... THESE STRETCH WHEN PULLED AND ARE EASIER ON A WILD NATURED BIRDS LEG BUT HAVE THEIR OWN UNIQUE PROBLEMS ......... NOTHINGS PERFECT .......... ITS JUST ABOUT FINDING THE BEST TYPE FOR YOUR BIRDS AND SET UP DUCKWING

ITS JUST ABOUT FINDING THE BEST TYPE FOR YOUR BIRDS AND SET UP DUCKWING i think a good rubber tether is better than a good paracord tether, i have had to many birds snap paracord tethers were iether its joined to the swivel or the leg hitch, luckily i was there unless there would of been carnage. i prefer the rubber tether with a canvas leg hitch, they last a life time
DUCKWING 302
Over 25 yrs experience tells me your wrong fella Rubber tie cords show no signs of wear and al of a sudden go ..... Para cord .... You can see the wear and change the cord Its also unaffected by high or low temperatures .....not so rubber cords The nylon webbing hitches are quite good from a long life perspective , however they can ruin a birds heels and until stiffened up with muck can be unpicked by a bird , ive seen this happen many times Personally i wouldnt use such a cord , and guessing which south yorkshire man makes them Definatley not .........
