lurchergrrl 1,441
i dress my dog up like ned kelly in a suit of armour lol every where we run our dogs there is bard wire thats why i prefer rough coated dogs dont get ripped so easy atb I wish that were true! Mine opened her chest on barb a couple of years ago and has several more scars all over from smaller nicks. Since the chest accident, I tend to scope out where I'm walking before I even let her off and I avoid it when/if I can. Found some lovely razor wire embedded in the ground where I was last week - glad I saw it before I set her loose or I could've had a minced dog. Why would there be razor wire?who put it there? Unless she is a fecking psychic how is she supposed to know who put it there ??? Well socks. If someone is using RAZOR WIRE!!! Bet your ass, your not ment to be there!Im guessing your a townie. Razor wire round the top of a fence, sure. But wrapped round the bottom? Next to a busy footpath area? Can't be right, that. Plenty of kids and dogs going past there all the time - not a place that's out of the way or forbidden. The other side of the fence is off limits (supposedly ) but the razor wire is wrapped in such a way that it's on the public side and could quite easily hurt someone if they weren't careful. You bin out poaching again barb wire is every where i run my dogs except over yorkshire where it is mainly drystone walls but you still get the odd bit up there, the dogs need to jump confidently to me to nt get hurt by it as often the more they fanny around jumping the more they likely to knack them selve unless its jst laying about as i hav sin a lot of jst thrown around plenty of the fields i hunt Quote Link to post
iworkwhippets 12,539
Had loads of run ins with barbed wire over the years, both me and the dogs, one being the other week when we had the snow and thick fog, got myself a bit lost, and came to this fast flowing river, it was either jump it or go back, which would have meant a long shank, so dogs cleared it, so i went for it, big mistake, i managed to take a firm hold of the barbed wire, but there was loads of slack in it, and i was swaying to and fro over the river, dogs stood theer watching me struggle, and i just lost it, i couldnt hold on any longer, so i let go, i ended up in the next feckin county, eh Quote Link to post

Lol a townie yes mate I live in a metropolis we even have 2 pubs lol ... If the razor wire was on top of an 8 foot chainlink fence then yes I would agree you shouldn't be there but if it's stuck in the mud on the floor then I would pretty much guess its been dumped by who knows ... You are a sharp one you lol............. 1 Quote Link to post
