Collie/Grey x Whippet

What sort of size would you expect a bitch of this breeding to make?

 

Would the 1/4 collie be enough to make it more biddable and more easily trained than the whippet or whippet/grey?

Size is really hard to say depends on dogs used . If your lucky the collie should add some desirable traits to the dog, depending on the collie.

I really like the idea of a decent proven collie cross put over a full working whippet.

 

Wouldn't really mind how the collie/grey was bred as long as it was a grafter.

 

I think this sounds like the ultimate bunny catching, lamping and general mooching dog for me.

 

Was looking at pure whippets but some of them seem to be really fiery and a little head strong almost throwing to the terrier side slightly.

 

Also think the greyhound might add a touch of top end speed and the collie might add better feet, skin and the obvious obedience.

cracking cross mate, hard to beat for bunnies, but hard as hell to find pups, ive been trying for years to find a nice litter but unless you know the right people they are already reserved before they even hit the ground!

my mates is collie whippet grey x whippet so a little more whippet than your after but shes 22" and as above she is hard to beat on rabbits. shes superb. all the best mate

Ive been trying to find the perfect cross for me since losing my sal/whip/grey last year.

I suppose they would be difficult to come across, when working pedigree whippet pups are making £300.

dont know what a breeder would expect to charge for a pup of this cross, must say i like the look of this cross, appear to make cracking rabbit dogs, and I would expect to excell at the feretting game.
