Well in fairness, whatever about the right and wrongs of caged animals, the copper did the right thing, as best he could with a small calibre revolver. And the fellow who got into the cage and hauled the dying lion off was concerned for his mate, not the lion. What bollix gets into a cage with a lion in the first place?
