Raw food

I'm looking for some advice please. I've just been given a pile of lungs with the windpipes attached(sheep I think). Is it ok to feed these raw to my lurchers, are they of any nutritional value etc ?? I seem to remember reading somewhere that sheep lungs can contain some parasites...... Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

too much offal may scour the dogs, maybe use some tripe with it or beef.

should be ok in moderation tho

I always give my running dog raw chicken carcus never fed them lungs though.

they are called lights mate feed em raw or boiled ... never had any dramas with them

I always cooked lights too - can't get them now - but if you freeze them for a month it'll kill any nasties.

Throats and windpipes of animals are suitable for dogs, as long as they are fed fresh and tender, and cut them up into small pieces. Once you cook them or freeze them they can become quite indigestible...

Never had a problem either, I feed 100% raw. I personally wouldn't cut anything up, chewing and tearing the food up is good for the teeth. JMHO
