hw80k pellet?

hi just got myself a hw80k and been trying to find the best pelet for my rifle tried

air arms diablos

and bisley pest control

i am looking at hunting pigeon and the odd rabbit but i was using the air arms and hit a couple of pigeon and both flew away wounded so i needed something that will stop them so tried the bisley pest control and they are quite alot tighter fit in the barrel almost to tight and was not getting good results at all was thinking of trying the rws superdomes jus wanted to know what all your views are and if you own a hw80 what pellet are you using

The best pellet is the one that groups the tightest and consistently so, because with airguns it's accuracy that kills (the energy being minimal).

The stopping power I would leave to firearms.

Pigeons drop nicely when you shoot them in the head

youve got a good point there buddy still wasnt to keen on both pellets so just after finding out what other people are using with the hw80k to maybe save me a few pennys finding out, i know every barrel is diffrent but just trying to narraw them down atb

im shooting with an hw80k and im useing webley POWA PELL stopping rabbits no probs

Try hn feild target or eley wasps they work good in my old

Same with my old ', it loved H+N FTT's or RWS superdomes.

No pellet will drop a pigeon everytime with a bodyshot.I have seem them body shot with a .22 rimfire and still fly off.Head shots only and they will drop them everytime.

My, .22 hw80k is a 2000 model and has not had a busy life, it only likes H&N FTT pellets. I've just sold an older which has done more shooting but has a slightly tighter barrel and shoots RWS superdomes very well, its more accurate than the k. If i try the superdomes in the newer k they go all over the place. In a nutshell they're all different but i have read alot of the more experienced guys stuff on this particular rifle on this forum and it reads like the H&N squirts very well out of any .
