@ Ossie :victory: Spot on hun! - isnt it amazing how much better it is explained when someone has a clam personailty  Thanks ;)

@ Skycat and LB :) He has been to the vets quite a few tims with the lameness (usually after a run) and the vet he is a ex track vet by the name of Robert Jones (smashing bloke would trust him with my life) Well the main reason for his lameness is a old injury to the hip joint which i didnt know exsited until Robert Jones did some flexing, pulling, manipulating and things and this was diognised - then after diognosis i called his old Racing owning who then confirmed as well as his front tendons which he had removed  I think he had them removed...Yes he did im sure of it...Anyway apart from removed tendons and this hip injury he is fine.

Lameness is only present after a off lead jaunt.. :hmm: He has been on painkillers and anti inflam when he gets bouts of it but the only way i am controlling without drug use is no off lead

Thanks guys and gals

I'd stick him back on the pain killers: I know long term use can cause liver damage but IMO its quality of life you want for the dog: better to live a shorter happier life than a longer miserable (not trying to say he's miserable : oh shit: damn computers I'm always worried that what I'm trying to say won't come across right in print, if you see what I mean). Anyway, that's just my opinion. About to put another old girl on Metacalm (she's 9 yars old) as she still loves a good run on the odd bunny and she's really depressed on the lead all the time. I take painkillers every day for my back: fought that option for years, but then bowed to the common sense view that I might as well be pain free for a condition that's not going to get any better: in other words: why suffer if you don't have to??
