My mate who had the rspca call, has now had a letter from the council. saying they have had a complaint about a dog barking, and they will be monetering the situation. well her many dogs obviously bark but not for long lenghts of time. they are kept in the house and only bark when she comes home...gets outa bed and is playing with them so it's not a continuos barking noise.

Anyone know anything about the legalalitys of this?? oh her house is bought. someone has obviously got it in for her

Senile dementia.....just read the post again :icon_redface: They will be looking at volume and continous barking LB, they will provide the complaintant with equipment so look for a nosey sod with a microphone ;)

Sounds like a neighbour with a grudge, although dogs that do continously bark are a pain in the arse, my neighbours dogs used to bark from about 5am, as they lived in the garage.........I got the response "you never hear your dogs, wouldn't know you had them", I replied it was because I had some consideration for the neighbours.................rant over.....................

I live in a village and I have to bring my cockerel in at night and he sits in a covered box in the shed until 8 am (weekdays) and 9am (weekends): got this from the environmental health officer after some complaints about his crowing in the wee hours of the morning.

It may be worth your mate's while to contact the environmental health people if she has nothing to worry about (i.e. she KNOWS her dogs aren't causing a problem) as that way once the EV say it's OK the neighbour who's comlaining won't have a leg to stand on. Get her to ask them where she stands which will also then put her in a good light with them (the EV) and they can then tell the neighbour there isn't a problem.

Sorry, bit long winded that: can't think properly at this time in the morning! LOL

Sound's true that someones got it in for her....... :censored:

Why is there a problem as long as the dogs dont bark constantly!!

My dog's only bark if there is a knock at the door or someones on the prowl.....and then only for a few seconds! It's a good deterant and I'm sure the neighbours realise this!

Tell your mate not to stress too much, hopefully this will all be sorted and the person making the complaints will be made to be the fool :D:D

Ps, As they are kept in the house, would it not be worth your friend keeping them in a more "inner" room while the monitoring's going on??? Then the sound will have to go through more walls before meeting the dredded decibel meter that they will prob be provided with!!! :D:D:D Play them game :laugh:
