wyreside fisheries

hey all

recently i have been hearing alot of good things about this water but not had chance to get mysef down there yet!! so i was just wondering if anybody has fished it recently ? or know of anyboy who has?? and how they got on?

Hi Tom,If it's carp you're after you won't go far wrong. Sunnyside and Quarry lake are fairly easy 'runs waters', but also get very busy. Bantoms and the big Wyre lake are a bit more tricky, but they hold a better stamp of fish don't think you can fish those 2 at weekends tho, due to the syndicate. What type of fishing are you after? Also in the north west, you have pendle view, but again busy day ticket water, very busy. Sale water park aint bad, £47 for the season, carp to mid 30s and has a good head of 20s and cats to near 40lb. You can use 4 rods and it's bailiffed 24 hours a day. Good luck, tight lines, j.t.b

hi mate, the wyreside you mention is not the 1 i mean there are two named wyreside, the 1 i mean is a single lake it was a syndicate until last year i think! and yes its carp im after i fish alot up in oxford on st johns and oxlease and the oter lakes, iv fished pendle view a few times but not a big fan of the place!! do you fish much around the north west then j.t.b? cheers Tom

Is it the wyreside on that caravan park going towards blackpool you mean? Think they stocked 2 upper 30s in a couple of years ago. Been doing a bit on a place called Smiths in sunny Bowthon. Had some nice fish from there to just over 30. Not the nicest of places to fish but the fish in there are awesome.
