I hope someone will say this about me one day....

Owned all the bull terrier breeds for nigh on thirty years now starting with KC Staffords and EBTs then bulldogs and Staffords from working lines, love the dogs. Anyone that says they can make a pet o

I think the grey you refer to is probably blue.....however its not a colour associated with the apbt more a showbred amstaff type thing....you say you was around the breed 20 years ago and there wasnt

i own and have owned bulls for a long time.

always staffs. great dogs if raised properly.

its just that a lot people have vision and under standing of all bulls that is totally wrong.

the worst thing is that when you try to educate them, they dont want to know.

they have their minds already made up, although they might not ever been close to one.

ignorance is a terrible thing.

instead of damming the breeds of bulls, they should try and educate people about them.

also who ever wanted to own one, they should have to a dog handleing course.

that would ensure that right person would get to own them, and it would save a lot of bull breeds and types lives.

have always liked them, what i call "proper dogs"sadly it seems to me that 90% of owners are pricks, american bulldogs seem to be the new choice were i live ,young lads with them bigging it up were before they wouldnt say boo to a goose.I know its the owner not the dog but its not the owner doing the biting

i completly love bull breeds my fav is the pitbull have had quite a few bull terriers staffs and pits . great dogs if u raise them proper i have a 4 mth old at the min a little beauty very well behaved so far. The ting is these bull breeds were bred as fighters and baiters now if you get a small dick hard chaw acting cool having one of these dogs been agressive it can be a lethal mistake if they go at it full on its hard to seperate them unless your used to strong dogs i think there the most mis understood breeds out there if rared proper will make great pets and companions the problem is its very hard to stop inexperienced owners from keeping this type of dog when u mix these dogs with fools it destroys the breeds rep and that is exactly wat has happened and its a pity to say the least a great beed keeps been punished for there bad owners atb

if rared proper will make great pets

They make great pets if you take them away from what they know and were bred for you mean :whistling: .....................use a dog for the qualities it was bred and you wont go far wrong.......if you want a great pet, look for a breed of dog with a reputation as great pets.....not a breed of dog bred for athletic performance in combat.

The problem was never inexperienced owners, the problem has always been owners with a lack of common sense
