once a week, never understand why people do it once a day, they shit far away from where they sleep and dont exactly roll around in it, whats the point?

Turn the water supply off to your toilet at home, and after a week of you crapping in it, away from your bedroom, see how you like the stench!

Thats why I clean mine out once a day. Bedding once a week/fortnight.

Dont know whether the way i run my business is wrong, but it seems right to me. I have 8 big cages, each split into 3 sections, bed, cage and outdoor cage.

The ferrets shoite in the cages outside which is hose piped clean every couple of days, the inside cages are probs only cleaned every 7 -10 days, to be honest, the sawdust is clean and dry, and just needs spreading around the cage and topping up.

Now the bedding chamber, it can be a month or 6 weeks until I give this a complete change in the winter, and usually only when the weather is mild to allow them to get a decent bed back together.

Dont think its that much of a trouble if they have a bed for a good few weeks during winter, during summer probs every 2 weeks or so.
