shooting off sticks

Recommended Posts

yep,did have ,most of my shooting was from high seats but lately its been off sticks, wow what a difference.when i'm checking scope/zero etc before a stalk i usually shoot off a shooting bench and rests so no problems there . because i knew i was stalking with sticks i thought i would get some practice in ,Fek me a bit of wind and i couldn't even hit the A4 paper. Basically just practice more at targets, after a bit of target shooting i was getting them all within a 4" circle out to 175 yrd so i was confident to take deer and fox off sticks now, just try and use anything that helps steady you ,trees ,gates, 4x4s and just practice more.

Your better using a tripod as apposed to a bipod, it's a lot steadier.

Sounds like the way to go. I'll skip the bipod idea and go for the tripod, when I try sticks.

For some reason this reminds me of the old joke that if God had intended men and women to be equal, men wouldn't have been born with a third leg.
