bird 10,013
to get the bond with it, you got treat it like a little 9 week old pup. Iknow its only 5 months old, but that is big differnce to 9 week old pup . You dont really know whats gone before do you, we all differnt with dogs . Get on the floor, with bit of chicken any bit of grub that it likes, and put some on the floor by you call it in. Sooner or later it will get closer to you , just talk nice +easy to it still give it the food, then once its happy with that give it the odd pat .Nice+easy you will win it over 3 Quote Link to post

Guest Anubis
If the pup has been kenneled and only had human contact with the last owner then as Bird said all is new to it and just treat it like a young pup starting that bonding process from scratch....You will gain its trust in time bud no dought about that. good luck with the pup.
