bigbarnett 33
i do alot, one of us drives and the other shoots out of the window using the wingmirror as a rest. its usualy my bsa tactical xl or his 22 lr cheers barnett Quote Link to post
jackinbox99 41
Ive done this a few times. Use a Air Arms s410 Carbine. Which is one reason why i bought the carbine - smaller barrel, lighter and easier to handle. Best way is to have someone else driving, whilst your in the passenger seat. You can rest the gun on the wing mirror or door frame. Around my way you often see land rovers with bits of foam taped onto the wing mirror. You`ll find some permissions where rabbits run a mile if you walk down the field, but happily sit there munching on the crops if you drive up to them!!! Quote Link to post
ARRAN 22
yea mate its the same with me can vertually pull up next to some of the rabbits, the s410 is one of my favourite guns but i have been sonsidering getting the little brocok contour as its so small Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
its a lot easier to use the hw100kt, but i do use the pro sport now and again from the car. generally though, the pcp carbine is much better suited to the job. cheers, wurz Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Not done it since the Summer mate when i was with 2 other pals, but I have done it loads in the past especially when living in Catterick. A PCP is best suited for this i think, something that you dont need to pull to cock like a springer or GR system. I would say a BSA Ultra, HW100 KT or R10 mk 2 along with the old favourite AAS410 are good rifles to think about, but there re many options and the ones ive mentioned are what i like. StevoSmith 147
I do it on one of my caravan park permissions as its just to big to walk around.....harder with springer but with pcp its easy...i will say however that ive nearly took out the windscreen with the barrel whilst cocking the TX lol but good fun though and toasty lol Quote Link to post
Elmer_Fudd 28
On the shoot I was once on they did it once a week as it was a big permission and many rabbits. Usual suspects came up Ultra, AA 410 carbine but also the little brocock concept is a tasty small gun. depending on the transport as well to what you can get away with.... we used to shoot from a bench of the back of the truck in 3's lamp and driver gunner and runner. plus with the Brocock its only£ 330 brand new for a beach version same barrel as the hw's ....
