Londonderry postage

Recommended Posts

Checked a price for posting a ferret finder to Londonderry first class recorded and was quoted £2.73, to post the same to Canada international signed for would be £9.01.

Just bought one off ebay, mk1box and collar and the bloke reckons he has been quoted £10 for postage from Londonderry to UK, am i wrong in thinking postage would be roughly the same cost as would be vice versa :hmm:

Don't mind paying a pair postage on items won but f**k sake this guy needs to be on dragons den lol

I've never sold anything on Ebay mate but the thing is people know the price of Items but they usually dont know the price of postage. So they think there getting a good deal on the item they have bought but really the seller is making up difference in the postage. Usually the buyer isn't as eagle eyed as yourself...........you dont have Scottish blood in you do you?.....

He might live somewhere really remote Marv?

It would be a 10 mile round trip for me to get to the nearest post office, and i can imagine in Ireland there are even more remote places..especially with all the little sub post offices closing.

So postage + packaging + Diesel may contribute?

Londonderry is in the UK.

Postage prices are the same as mainland, as set by Royal Mail.

If something costs about £3 to send by 1st Class Recorded, then it would be about £10 to send by Special Delivery, maybe that's what he's using?

If he's not then isn't there a way to report/grass him to ebay for excessive post charges?

All I can say to that is that I don't charge any more for N.I. because it doesn't cost me any more, fair's fair and all that.

AS n ireland is not the mainland so they rip us off not all a good few do free post but the others are rip of merchants. Edited by TINY 12
