Stabs 3
It don't stop them wandering. This one is sackless and he ranges for miles. I've just learned to live with it and he was a very useful finder in his day. Quote Link to post

jack260 8
wouldnt have his nuts off mate had a lab x about ten years ago and had the same problem had his nuts off no difference at all Quote Link to post
lakey 1
Nuts off makes no difference, i look after a friends lab alot he had his dogs off no difference and then went to one of these electric shock collar trainers, went to a few lessons and ended up buying a collar and handpiece, now a quick bleep bleep bleep from the handpice to the collar and he comes jogging back every time, and they dont harm the dog at all. rob reynolds uk 3
i have one that does that and i carn`t take the gun out with that dog becouse i know it would only be me coming back the little b***%*d a long lead is the only way Quote Link to post
Kane 2
Keep his nut on otherwise if you ever have to sell him,you wont.If he keeps buggering off then I am afraid you will have to keep him on a lead.I wouldnt even make plans for breeding until he has atleast 2 seasons and a good number of decent digs under his belt. If he is well bred and you do throw the towel in give me a shout I might buy him off you :11: If your that worried get one of those retractable lead things. Can we have a pic of him it makes the posts a lot more interesting Quote Link to post

Darren Wright 0
i cant let mine off the lead as he wants to kill any moving animals, my Hawk, ferrets, even bitches in season....he is on a long lead when out in the fields with me on his own. Quote Link to post
Guest MOLLY
I found my terrier pups went through phases when training them, you end up ripping your hair out when you think you have cracked it and then a couple of weeks down the line they start doing it again. You just have to keep at it and be consistent. He is still a pup at his age. It might not click till he is matured. Castration does absolutley nothing for a dog other than prevent pups. They will still hump other dogs, fight etc etc. MOLL. Quote Link to post
