yorkslad88 0
Hi, I'm fairly new to the game, been lamping loads lately with a friend and was looking at getting my own lamp as I have some permission for a few acres of land close to home. Question is, has anyone had any experience of the a1decoy lights or is it worth sticking to a well known make, such as lightforce etc? The a1decoy light kits just look like a very good price for a first lamp. Any thoughts welcome, ta. Quote Link to post
paulus 26
as a rule, like most things in life you generally get what you pay for, unfortunatly in the case of lamps piss poor is about as good as it gets. lightforce is the way to go, as at least theres lads on here that will put you right with rewireing and reapirs Quote Link to post
BooMster 11
For lamping you wont go wrong with a Lightforce 170 Striker. The only problem i had with mine was the cable snapped on both lamps (Common Problem). I'm not sure if newer models have the same issue, but its easy to fix non the less. Quote Link to post
yorkslad88 0
Thanks for the replies chaps, I'll think more seriously about a light force then rather than being a tight git and looking to save money! Quote Link to post
remi700 99
I'd disagree. I've lamped with lightforce, Deben and im sure most others down the years. Best lamp I've ever used bar none. Cyclops. Think it cost me £30 off Gamefayre. Had to wrap a piece of duck tape round the outside of the filter to stop stray light and changed over the coiley lead for a piece of plain cable (just my preference). Great light with a great lens. Shoot foxes over 300 yards at night with it. The lens makes the light. Pay no attention to candle power. ATB. Mark Edited February 24, 2012 by remi700 Quote Link to post
