remington sps in .223

hi does any of you have a remington sps 223 1 in 12 twist.if you do what do you think of them ? and what rounds do you find best ?

thats a rifle that i would like and would be interested in how you get on with the 1/12 twist i have that in my sako and find it a bit limiting.

I have Rem SPS Stainless .223.

Did not like the stock, changed it for HS Precision stock

As for the 1/12 twist, i Shoot 40gr V Max for Foxes, and Sierra 53gr Hollow Points for paper, and Sierra 55gr Gamekings for Roe Deer

The 40gr & 55gr cloverleaf @ 100yrds, and the 53gr one hole @ 100yrds when i am shooting ok.

Powder i use is VihtV N133.

I've got one mate and really rate them. It's had a few adjustments to it with either 4 or 6" cut off the end, Hogue Stock & AI mag conversion. Its a fair old lump to carry around but pretty accurate although I've had tinker with the trigger to get it as light as possible as there's a fair-hard break on them out the box.

 

I use Norma 40g ballistic tips and with decent glass on top even I can shoot clover leaves all day at 100 meters prone.
