Snow covered ferretting

Its been hard work trying to find some ground soft enough for the dog to run and get pegs in the ground in oxfordshire with -15 the ground is like iron.

But with a thaw I was out today on my own trying a few buries in graveyard with the thick yews giving the cover so the ground was workable just need a screwdriver to make holes for the pegs.

We accounted for a fair few off the surrounding land so was not expecting a great deal .

But working the think grass the coneys seemed to be on top today with alot accouted by the dogs without a fert in sight.

I think the hard ground and the noise that you make made for 3 bolts to the nets without enter a ferret easy if you could do that all the time.

Still here some pictures of our short morning in the snow.
