I know this should be in the grey section but there aint as many lads on that section and I may get a better response here Cheers lads Atb JD Quote Link to post

J.DOG 1,355
Cheers lads The reason I chose grey I because I'm moving house to a farm and have a lot of space and I currently have 2 lurchers doing what they should but 1 of those lurchers belong to my sister and she doesnt want me working him I don't know why but she wants to do it herself I'm going to be doing alot more work as the space is on my front door so I will be getting a grey because i believe that i can train it properly however i will be getting another lurcher later on which will bring my pack up to 3 which I think is manageable Cheers lads atb JD Quote Link to post
123456 146
Seen a bitch in norfolk, stupid speed, good on turn, great strike. Real good working bitch. Heard of countless greys used that worked and worked well. Quote Link to post

Yeah I've heard of them being good dogs so I just wanted to try one as I think I can get one working well and if the dog diddnt make the grade than it would stay with me as do all my dogs and stay apart of the team and come mooching . Aye mate if brought on like a Lurcher they can be a handy animal just need to be taught the field craft that lurchers do from a young age Quote Link to post
123456 146
The bitch I seen in norfolk was as you said treated like a lurcher, she marked, bushed etc. Really was a pleasure to see her work, I seen her take squatters out her seat and pick them up on the run. Even seen her catch a partridge on the lamp. She apparently took all game but we only saw rabbit and hare that week and she was outstanding on both. J.dog, take the chance mate. Plenty of people use whippets, salukis and hybrids of running dogs so I'm sure you'll have no problem. Quote Link to post
