ideation how did ya manage to get your whippet retrieving mate?

I didn't really do anything special mate. He is quite a natural carrier, and loves to bring me things to 'show me'. He won't however retrieve a ball or dummy or antthing like that, but loves bringing me rabbits, including dead ones, that have been piled up. I think its miore about having a strong bond and him wanting to please, rather than any specific training.
