Tips On Asking Permission

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys. I am 14 years old and live in leyland, lancashire. I am lucky with where I live because i am 5 minutes from thearoun 5-6 farms. The only problem is that when I go to ask permission the farmers and landowners always say no or try the farm next door. I am always poliet and dress as smart as possible.I think that its because of my age that they won't let me on but I am unsure. Many thanks, Will.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again..

dont give up mate we all get refused,am new to ferreting and i found a difference when telling some farmers etc i had insurance, might be worth getting.

ask them if they need any free pest control as you ferret as a hobby in spare time, tell them you will follow any rules they might have and respect the land and animals at all times.if you get insurance offer a copy to show your serious and responsible, also offer a contact number and address(i found those two helped getting permission at an old sawmill, the old guy had alot of trouble with people stealing for scrap etc)

hope thats of some help, stick in.hard work will pay off :D

good luck
