Just booked my pup

Well after much debate and a lot of research i visited the Gonegos kennel in North Yorks this afternoon and spent a lovely couple of hours in the company of Roy Bebbington and his wife. Hugely knowledgable and down to earth, their dogs were a delight very laid back and responsive and a handy size. If all goes well with the breeding the pup will here in May/June.

 

Started off looking at cockers then a quick look at GWPs then Spinone before setting my stall out for the Wirehaired vizsla.

 

Cockers style was too busy for me and after looking after a couple of pups for different people over the past couple of months i didnt think they would suit me temprementally, i would have internally combusted!

 

GWPs are beautiuful dogs and would suit my ground but jesus they are a handful and headstrong (ive been helping a friend train his).

 

Spinones were just massive and a bit ploddy but lovely natured

 

HWV are a nice med size and the kennel ive picked breeds a lovely line of capable all rounders Calling it a kennel is a misnomer as they all live in the house and are real pets which i personally like, they were just so chilled it was great to see.

 

I just hope i can do the pup justice and give it the best start in a long working career

Thanks lads but until its sitting at my feet its all just a plan.

 

Seemingly the vizsla only comes into season once a year and its this bitches first litter so there are a few ifs, buts and maybes. Fingers crossed
