midnight 657
here we go then . what iv done so far . this is the straight feather pattern blade its the smallest . the others sit un molested so far ! ok polishing done at this stage the handle blank is roughed out and drilled for the tang . the tang is made red hot and litrealy burned into the handle no photos of that sorry but imagine filming it ! so all metal work compleat fit is ok etc i need to re etch the blade in the acid , in it goes and an hour later it comes out like this its bought out all the pattern that was polished out some from buffer. but looks dull so its gets a go over with 2000grt wet and dry and a light buffing job done on the blade no more to do but the final killer edge and a buff up last thing a quick fit up for the camerta . blade wrapped and apoxied in place , i will leave that over night and shape sand finnish the handle with it wrapped . but that wil be tomorrows post hope you are still enjoying it ? oph the wood is nice grain american black walnut ! Rake aboot 4,935
That looks fantastic What are the chances that the bimetal will be felt alnong the edge ,ie, any chance of a ridge on the edge, or the metals separating? Never seen a blade like this, are you puting this up on British Blades???
