morton 5,368
never seen it in a Beddy or Beddyx, could it be an breeding abnormality that crops up from time to time in all dogs,or something in the mix of the true breeding?. Quote Link to post

oldred58 340
The guy who sold him the dog says it pure bedllington, there must be a cross some way along the line Quote Link to post
hogdog 61
There doesn't have to be an outcross for it to happen, I've seen it in a line of Staffords with no outcross. It's just a slightly different spinal conformation, it is just as likely to arise through inbreeding dogs as it is to occur through outcrossing. Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809
well hog dog ive had pure and outcrossed beddy for to many years and ive seen hundreds more beddys over the years and ive yet to see one with a curly tail Quote Link to post
lawrence 657
i once bred a very inbred litter of bedlingtons one of which was born with a docked tail, so strange things can crop up but a spitz type tail still sounds very iffy to me. Quote Link to post
twotone 6
Certainly not the norm, tho I have seen one with a curl in its tail Quote Link to post
