Guest ceredigion bull cross
i have looking and searching for a good quality jack russell bitch for some time now and there is something puzzeling me that some of you might find interesting.....and that is if somebody has for sale a litter of puppies that they claim to be of GOULD breeding then i would expect there to be at least a couple of GOULD dogs/bitches in the breed pedigree. one such litter i came across had one GOULD dog in the pedigree and that dog was a great/great grandfather of the pup i was considering....now please feel free to correct me if i am wrong but great/great grandfather mathematicly speaking is 1/16 of the pups make up .....does that give the breeder the right to use GOULD reputation to sell his/her pups ????? Big bald beautiful 1,231
NO but a lot do it, every breed has its famous names that people resort to using Laguna in whippets, Nuttels in black dogs, oxcroft in borders etc, etc The best is with bedlingtons when you see Gutchcommon and Rillington Margaret Williams has been dead yrs, i cant remember George Newcombe keeping a PURE bedlington in years, Rinty or its litter mate Quote Link to post
Guest ceredigion bull cross
well i just hope that if there are any young and up coming dog men/women reading this thread then BEWARE of the puppy con artists Quote Link to post

RYESWAY 0
me personly look at the dam and sire if they do the job you want then thats the pup for me.i only look beyond that if the dogs are on the the same yard as the pups ,alot of peds (not all)arnt worth the paper there wrote on . and as for haveing one gould dog in the ped that far back is by no means gould bred . to me wether it gould , steven's, wheeler, ETC, should run through one or both sides all the way to say its of that breeding. all the best rye Quote Link to post
THE POACHER 13
so called good name dont meen they will work either people use the names to shift the pups but there are genuine lads out there that keep a good line Quote Link to post

bernie.g 0
Hi I've had 2 dogs, 3 bitches from Steve and his dogs are the b******'s. All entered on their own with no coaxing. Sadly and tragically though I lost 2 bitches and a dog when they jumped in my koi pond and drowned 2nd December last year. Phoned up Steve and got a lovely white russel bitch and first x lakeland russel. I can't recommend Steve's dogs enough. Bernie Quote Link to post
