Moll. 1,770
Hardly the presenters fault, regardless of what she did. She did not show any aggression or inflict any pain to the dog. If it had been a child putting it's face near the dog and the dog bit it, would the child be a stupid bitch.
Nik_B 3,790
I think what people are saying is Don't put your face near a dog's unless you know it well. It is a stupid thing to do as the dog might see it are you trying to show your dominance over it, secondly I don't think it's so smart for her to go down to it's level like that. p.s. If my daughter did something like that to a random dog I'd give her a bloody good smack. I've brought her up to never try and approach any dog without first asking the owner if it is ok and second waiting for me to say it is ok

If a child does the same its the parents fault. If you know anything about dog psychology you would know getting in a dogs face (an unknown dog as well) is getting in the dogs space and can be seen as a challange. But i've owned a Rotts and Shepherds (which were trained in defence of handler and property) and the bite of the Dogo argentino was more of a nervous bite. Forrest Gump 10
The presenter invaded the dog's personal space and the dog felt the need to defend itself, i wouldn't like it if someone randomly came up to my face like that, think i would punch them in the face. That was just the dog's way of saying please go away.
stabba 10,745
Just goes to show that you can never trust a dog regardless of size/breed. Bit silly sticking your face near a dog that you,ve only just met though..but likes been said i wouldnt put the blame solely on the interviewer..atb stabba
Nik_B 3,790
Looks more like it snapped at her rather than bit her. I'm sure if it had bit her she's have been seriously injured

But the Dog got a (bad temp) , ok you dont get in its face, and kids dont know that do they .? And parents dont watch there kids 24/7 in the real world. I had kelpie x collie x grey bitch, that would have took her feckin face off fact, was dangerous dog that would bite proper, soon went in the ground .
skycat 6,173
What she was doing, fussing round its mouth and muzzle, is how a subordinate pack member makes up to the leader, or a dog of higher status. She put the dog into a position where it felt it had to tell the idiot off, and that's all it did: told a lower ranking animal to get out of its space; the dog would have been stressed in the heat and lights of a TV studio as well.
Millet 4,497
Imo it was the owner of the dog that was to blame..the presenter should of been told what and what not to do around the dog..
Moll. 1,770
Granted, she should not have done that with a strange dog. But no dog should show human aggression like that, no growl, no warning but straight in with a bite. It is a combination of either a bad dog/bad breeders/bad owners/bad judgement. If someone had posted on here a dog had bitten their child on the face, you would all be shouting get the dog pts, cannot take chances etc. The woman has required surgery to her face. Suppose its the way you get brought up.
