getting a terrier

i was wondering if there are any terriers that can make good family pets and work dogs at the same time? ps: ive got a golden retriever and guinea pigs as well. will a terrier eat the guineas?

If you get the dog from a pup it won't bother stuff you train it not to. Mine doesn't look at my daughters rabbit and guinea pigs. I wouldn't trust him with them running loose though.

A nice old lady who lives down the road has to westies that share a house with a rabbit (not the type that needs batterys) and they get on fine. What would you be useing your terrier for pet? work?

You'd hope so . No seriously terriers make great pets, it may well pester the living day lights out of your dear old Retriever though.

my pats are fine with kids but they cant have hansters or any small rodent the girl has a rabbit but the terriers go down to see if its still there every time they go out the door the pats dont go down the yard when the fcuking rabbit is in the ferret run lol

wouldn't let my 2 Patts near any pets at all,but they love kids and people in general unless there in the van and Im not then I think they would kill ya lol
