WILF 47,398
I am sure the general public will all sleep a lot easier in their beds knowing that they spent £10 million chasing £70 grand from Harry Redknapp and will no doubt spend millions more trying to get a few pence off folk who sell some bits and bobs on eBay!! In any other company, these people would have got the sack after the Redknapp/Mandorich debacle or they would not be allowed to start these things in the first place......but f**k it, it's only public money they are pissing away!!!
lanesra 3,994
Agree Wilf 10 MILLION to recoup 70 GRAND is somehow out mathematically , though i think (though in tax cases i could be wrong) in law the C.P.S. looks at the evidence and decides whather there is sufficient evidence to proceed with a case based on that evidence , !!! Yes they do mate but an important question they also ask is is it in the public interest to prosecute? Before he was charged the bill would have been alot more than 70 grand so I don't know why they carried on... Money laundering is the big one, you don't get remission on any custodial sentence but evading 70 grand is a joke compared to 'Sir' Phillip Green....
