CHEESE SUPLEMENT.

A breeder of lurcher pups i visited yesterday evening, feeds cheese, as a suplement to his pups?

They seem fine on it, as a part of their deit, apparently, good calcium?

He gets it in bulk and freezes it.

 

Any experinces with cheese?

i give a little now and again Frank,seen it once in an old bulldog keep,never had any probs but then don't feed it regular dog loves it though.

me old girls staffy love the stuff but for pups as a regular part of the diet???? i dont know

My dog loves a bit of cheese now and then. But as part of a diet for pups??? Cheese contains a LOT of salt, and stresses developing kidneys....What would be the result of excess salt later in life??????

Maybe saltless (cottage) cheese would be better

yep i use it as a training aid......roast liver too...cheap and the dogs love it.
