jambay5 191
Yer would have thought so mate if rabbits in ferret will be ok! if you think water level 2 high give them a miss! Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
As long as you don't have a torrent rushing through the waren (i.e the river is in flood) then you will be fine. PLenty of times the warrens run below the water table. On Saturday it was freezing and one of my jills came out of a warren soaking wet and with clumps of ice clung to her coat, where she had been pushing through the frozen water. Quote Link to post
loveferreting 2
its prob about 2M away from the brook/stream and looks like they are at home as the fresh poop next to the hole Quote Link to post
Halfinch 51
Should be fine, as said above, as long as the river isn't running into the warren. What is it you are actually worried about? The water lever inside the warren? The ferrets coming out into the river? Or you getting soaked grabbing a struggling rabbit in a net? :-) Quote Link to post
loveferreting 2
worried about them going out to the water and wont get out the hole , well will the there be water undeground in the warrend its not flooded and going the down the holes Quote Link to post
The one 8,483
As long as the waters running out and not into the burrows they should be safe to ferret Quote Link to post

terryd 8,505
Looks fine I had visions of a sharp drop going into a fast flowing stream Quote Link to post
Jamie m 668
Chances are if it to wet below the rabbits won't be using them , just as drop ins in case of predators I would take a marking dog or u could be wasting your time atb j 1 Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
Aye like the lads have said already, looks ok, give it a go. If you are really worried though, you could probs try fitting the ferrets with the new Deben ferret armbands, they are only £129.99, a bit pricey like we have come to expect, but i wouldn't enter a ferret without them! 2 Quote Link to post
shabadoodoo 16
ive got my ferrets a snorkel just incase of flooded warrens, they be ok they wont go under the water, but will go in water if they can stand up in it Quote Link to post
The one 8,483
Thats no near the stream that wouldn't qualify for extreme ferreting mate , Quote Link to post
