will he be ok?

Recommended Posts

i have a 2 year old bullx thats always stayed in the house, in the days he spends some time out the back garden and roaming the house and when we go to bed he sleeps in his crate but lately i've been thinking about getting a kennel for him to stay in out the back garden because sooner or later i want to get myself another lurcher and this one will be kenneld outside and i would rather both be together outside. sometimes he has a bit of a whinge when hes in his crate, so do you think he'll be ok to go outside or have i left it to late? atb tyson

Because of his short coat mate he may suffer a fair bit.....unless you get heated kennel's i would keep him indoors...now im not saying he could not handle it, it's just not worth him suffering in the cold and i doubt you would want that

this is only my opinion though mate..you do what you feel is best for your dog

the dog will be fine pal, if you aint in any hurry tho id do it over a period of time, slowly but surely an by end of summer he will be sleeping outside without any problems,

i wouldnae worry about his smooth coat  lthousands of smooth coated dogs sleep in kennels up an down the country, mine included, just make sure the dog has got a cosy draft free bed an he will be fine, he may whine tho, especially if you say he is prone to a bit if left in crate, but even that can be overcome

Get it outside!!!!!! As said a draft free bed and bobs yer uncle. Since the dog is 2 years of age i'd start putting the dog in the kennel when you are at home so you can here it howling the bloody place down then you can go straight out and stop it. Dont just shove the dog in the kennel when you go out for the day cause you be falling out with neighbours very shortly.
