Rabbit Snaring

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

i saw some rabbit snares in a agricultural shop the other day and ive been researching it and it seems a fairly easy and effective way to keep rabbits at bay if done properly,

my grandparents have some land which joins their garden, rabbits are always coming from it in the garden and making a right mess digging etc, if i go up there with the terrier he buggers off for hours and somtimes comes back with a rabbit,

my only concern is the technique in which to kill a rabbit once you have it snared? as the only time i go rabbiting is bushing with the terrier and he has never brought a live one out, i want to get it right as i dont want to cause any suffering etc just want a as humane as possible death.

also any tips regarding the set-up etc of snares would be greatly welcomed,

Thanks Jord
