richc12 84
having just picked up some new permission which is crawling with rats, ive decided to invest in a good air rifle... i had a AA 400 a few years back, wish i hadnt sold it now.... which rifle would you folks go for and why .... pros on cons please... i carnt justify a new rapid 7.... a bit expensive for me , but thought bsa r10 mk 2 might be the trick... thanks... rich Quote Link to post

silentshot1 206
Don't know much about Rapids to be honest, but I love my R-10 mk 1 and from what I've heard, a good mk 2 is brilliant! Quote Link to post
richc12 84
thanks for the replies lads.... was wondering if id be better with a new r10 mk2 over a used rapid 7.... wether they were in the same league etc and if you had the money , is the a new rapid better or not?...... or should i just save the extra and get the r10 mk2? nangell 50
i would go for the new r10 over a used rapid ,unless you can drop on a clean one , but if i have a choice of both new i would say the rapid they are a bit more workman like and they do hold there money , Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
rapids are a lot easier to work on too, no problem to service at home. i had a mk1 r10 when they first came out, and happened to blag a rapid not long after. got shot of the r10 within 18 months, and still have the rapid. much prefer the theoben, but apparently the mk2 r10 is a different beast altogether. cheers, wurz Quote Link to post

Metalman2 45
if it was me i would go for the rapid , r10 look nice there seems a lot of second hand ones for sale i wonder why ? Could be that there have been a lot sold, as they are more affordable. Personally i've had no problems, A blueprinted secondhand one would be a good deal 1 Quote Link to post
