thanks for the replies lads.... was wondering if id be better with a new r10 mk2 over a used rapid 7.... wether they were in the same league etc

and if you had the money , is the a new rapid better or not?...... or should i just save the extra and get the r10 mk2?

rapids are a lot easier to work on too, no problem to service at home. i had a mk1 r10 when they first came out, and happened to blag a rapid not long after. got shot of the r10 within 18 months, and still have the rapid. much prefer the theoben, but apparently the mk2 r10 is a different beast altogether.

cheers, wurz

if it was me i would go for the rapid , r10 look nice there seems a lot of second hand ones for sale i wonder why ?

Could be that there have been a lot sold, as they are more affordable. Personally i've had no problems,

A blueprinted secondhand one would be a good deal
