diggory 130 Posted February 8, 2012 Report Share Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) hi mate ,one dig that i woudnt forget springs to mind...we were doin a spot(about 15 year ago) got a mark on the bitch(just over 5 ft)..anyway we set off digging,2 ft down we hit a tube,in the tube was a dog fox bottled up...we lifted the fox,dealt with it humanly and dug a further 3 ft to the bitch which was with another dog fox ,which was also lifted n dealt with! Thats a good one mate,....Similar thing happened to us last year, digging down to the mark of 1.3 and on the way down a good bit broke into a tube n a rabbit flew out! Thought fuk the bitch must have been rabbiting n checked the box 0.4 so thought she was just up the tight tube a bit, sat around for 15mins and she still didnt move so a wee poke about with the spade and she was in a stop end under us with her quarry lol Quote Link to post

Rabbit Hunter 6,613 Posted February 8, 2012 Report Share Posted February 8, 2012 Just beat me to it Lonedigga, last season dog marked a 3 holer earth in a sheep field,so dropped him in, he went in about 6 foot, then could see him pulling and tugging something, so opened up a bit and he had hold of a live lamb that was wedged in tight.Had me and my mate very puzzled as you can imagine...
