Ryder Hurn 1
Nice pics mate. Stock dove, common treecreepper and of course goldfinch. Was a post on another forum from a chap about how many squabs he shot last weekend all of course lacking white neck band etc. Doh. Romany 1,065
Great pics Romany! There's a nest hole where Stock doves nest every year in my local woods. Cheers matie, Ive not seen many up this neck of the woods, saw my last one on the borders when I was doing a bird race for charity last year, but didnt have my camera with me, wouldnt have got close enough anyway, its amazing how close you can get to things with a full ghillie suit on though best piece of kit Ive invested in for a long while.. Just love goldies RH, A very special bird for me Was being watched too... Edited February 7, 2012 by Romany

Moll. 1,770
I would imagine Jays to be very hard to photograph Romany. I hear them here but only ever get a fleeting glimpse if anything.
Ryder Hurn 1
Good trick with the jays is too feed a tree stump or such like with monkey nuts, they can't resist. Love that cat pic too cheers Karpman
stevethefish 80
a crackerjack pencil is on its way matie...well done They're very similar and most are mistaken for feral pigeons. Quite rare to see Stock Dove. Great pic! not that rare around here
stevethefish 80
yep stock dove, easy to identify if ya see em clearly. not so when they flittin over the trees in poor light''BANG'' oh shit''lol. Yes they come out of the sunlight and sometimes easy to mistake when flying in or amongst wood pigeons and ferrals.
