gnipper 6,467
If the dog attacked his then would he not be able to claim self defence? I dread mine being attacked, with the law being the ass it is id probably get done for defending them and the tw@ who's dog it was would end up with compo.
RubyTex 1,957
a copper stoped me in my garden at night i pointed a stick at him he thought it was a gun because it was dark he drove off and called the armed police and i was arested me and turned my house over when a gun is mensioned the armed police come with no problem I knew a bloke who aimed a spirit level out the window at a mate when he was pissed and had the local ARV turn up within the next 10 minutes! Hahaha class this. Sums up the coppers, turn up in force when someone's aiming something trivial but when the real deal kicks off nowhere to be seen.

rascal_2005 79
I was seen putting a golf club (kinda gun shaped)into the boot of a car in brighton sea front and then left for home with a few pals. We had got 2miles and an armed police car was waiting in the middle of the road with anothther quickly pulling out of a side road to block us in. Then 2 more regular police cars turned up! Guns pointed at you, screaming hands on the dash board, left leg out, right leg out , left arm, righ arm....etc etc. cuffed and made to kneel in the road behide the car. Made to open the boot, car torn apart. All the time with a gun firmly pointed at you constantly being asked weres the gun!!!! Turns out someone saw the club and thought it was a shotgun. They had shut a 4 strech of road down just for us! So i think there may be more to this seeing as i have had first hand experiance of what happens when guns are mentioned.
3175darren 1,100
Was there any stock in the field?? You don't mention that , if not he would surely been arrested, the clause for shooting dogs is to protect livestock as in sheep cattle pigs and such.

Strong Stuff 2,171
I'd say there's a good case here for banning the ownership of firearms and shotguns, how many more innocent dogs and people have to die before the government wake up and ban them.
SportingShooter 0
A firearm has been discharged, it has then been pointed in someone's face. An obviously heated situation going on. The caller's car then being damaged whilst he's holding a potentially loaded firearm. All this and two local bobbies turn up with not even armed back up giving them a hand? I fail to believe that if your friend has had a loaded firearm pointed in his face which hasn't been investigated that the IPCC would brush it under the carpet.
