Lamp of Dog Back

Well i was invited out last night to see this lads dogs run,i had been putting it of for a while as iam not that bothered about watching dogs run these day,

 

1st thing he run was a nice long legged rabbit dog he did about 4 minutes on it and missed it but honest soon as that lamp was flicked of the dog was back,

 

then he run a rabbit he nailed it on the 3rd turn and again lamp of dog was back with the rabbit,

 

what iam saying is the lamp being switched of was like a command for the dog to heal,no leads are out just remarkable instinct to be by his side if the lamp was of,

How many other people have there dogs like this,

As said mate, thats what is expected of lamping dogs. They should all return as soon as the lamp goes off, sharpish too, so as to be ready for the next run.

Just lost a bitch for not comin back when lamps off...in truth she was an outright cnut for it...although in her defence if she was really close to the quarry when the lamp was turned off then there was a very good chance she,d catch it unaided by the lamp..but like i said..that was her undoing in the end..just too much drive in her i suppose..atb stabba

i always like my lamping dogs to be out in front by a decent distance. my dogs run the quarry and return back to within a certain distance say 25 yards which is what i prefer my dogs to do. they both retrieve 99% of the way.
