But what is it with curtains in Norfolk  Do you all have trouble with peeping Toms :hmm: nearly everyone keeps their curtains shut all day :laugh: ...and the nets curtains, dont even get me started about those :o:laugh::laugh::laugh:

They even have white headed blackbirds :clapper:

The campsite was wonderfull, very well run, id recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a quiet relaxing weekend. The lake is very well stocked with some huge carp, we were able to watch them spawning, in a shallower offshot from the lake. The fishermen made catching them look easy!

The electric was free, water next to your caravan, and the showers were out of this world. They got you milk and papers in the morning if you wanted, and the food was very good.

The bar at night was brilliant, the owner should have been a stand up comedian, did not care what he said, a sign in the bars said Tresspassers will not be prosecuted....next of kin will be informed :D he and the regulars made us feel very welcome, we ended up in teams playing table skittles :D:laugh:

The only downside was the place is literally crawling with rabbits, runs everywhere, so trying to exercise the dogs was an arm lengthening experience :icon_eek:

The best bit of the holiday though was meeting a fellow hunting life member and his lovely family.

They welcomed the dogs and us with open arms, nothing was a bother even the dogs practically sitting on their laps :icon_redface: Although the poor dogs did have to put up with being constantly cuddled, ticked and even groomed by two of the best mannered children ive ever met, who at the tender ages of 10 & 12 have done more hunting related stuff and have more of an interest in nature than half the members on here

Can anyone identify this catterpillar for his daughter, we looked on the net and through books but could'nt identify it?

I even got to see one of the animals ive never see but always wished i had.............

We went for a walk in the woods and the place is absolutley crawling with them...unbelievable. I never knew they were so pretty to look at always inagined them to be a plain green?

His set up has to be seen to be believed, ive never seen such a well run bop facilitily, the birds were magnificent, and ive learned a great deal in one weekend.

A huge thank you to Jasper65, his lovely wife and children for making our holiday :good:

It looks like an Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillar, as kids we used to collect them off rosebay willow herb that grew on the side of the railway.

Just checked the WWW and it seems very early for one of those. Thinking back it was in the 6 week school summer hols that we used to find them. But this might help...

What a great couple of gennuine people :victory:., I could talk to the them both all night. its a shame we didn't have longer and managed to get hold of a baby sitter, Hopefully you'll come back soon either in the Hunting season or just social stay.

Normally this time of the year my head is completly shot worrieing about the birds, it was good to get out and forget about them for a while. I was looking forward to getting out up the pub and getting thrashed one night with Millet but another time in the future hey mate . Great weekend with great company! what more can I ask for.....

Cheers

I dont think so Smally, it had none of the white. Definate bold black triangles coming from behind the head then fading down tp the base. We looked at that forum but could not find a match :hmm:

She will be keeping it till it becomes a butterfly/moth, but it would be nice if she knew what it is......plus its killing me

It'd be interesting to see a pic of the moth in due course then.

Sounds/looks like a nice place, fishing, wildlife and............rabbits!!
