I think my favourite of all is a roast chicken dinner, with buttery mashed pots, turnip, carrots, roast parsnip and any other veg. With bread sauce and yorkshire puds

A full English or a bacon chop with chips and beans..   I like grease and stodge lol.

cald is pitman talk , as in COLD warmed up , basically sunday dinner left overs fryed up on a monday , panac as well not many will know that 1 rocky , south of newcastle any how !

Nice drop of pie,mash and liquor for me ...........or a nice big sirloin steak.........quite partial to a bit of greek food as well the old lamb kleftico if im feeling brave but the simple foods do it for me......after years of chicken,turkey,rice,pasta etc even pie and mash can be a gourmet dish !

Ate the lamb kleftiko on holidays a few years back, nice and tender. When i seen the tin-foil on plate coming over i thought the daft buggers are bringing me a roast chicken LOL. Very nice indeed.

skate ( small eyed ray ) fillet meat off wing cartilage cut into strips 1_ 1 1/2" thick place in plastic bag with flour salt and black pepper shake

till coated and then deep fry food of the gods with chips and brown bread and butter

 

bass baked in sea salt

 

dover sole stuffed with cockles

 

and then all the shell fish lobster, crab, langoustine, crayfish, crevettes and spoots etc,etc,etc

quite partial to a fray bentos steakand ale pie at the mo, haven't had one for donkeys 'til the wife bought one back the other week.

hmm, yum!

 

:bad: .....i remember when the kids were young if they played up we just threatened them with a Fray Bentos pie.....................needless to say they grew up into well mannered decent young adults :D

deep fried scotch egg and chips from a certain chipper outside derry

singapore chow mein.

roast chicken with all the trimmings including yorkshire puds

 

 

my fella has gone soft for my homemade ham soup, with home cooked honey roast ham sandwichesj
