Proper cnuts they are, seem the damage done to a carp lake and its not nice to see fish with spear like wounds caused by these rats with wings, I used to pop them any change I got, but they are protected now.

 

Irish,. as I heard someone say once - "they may be protected, but they're no bullet proof!"

A devastating pest that comes inland to feed on fish stocks seems like they have adapted to easey pickings on inland waters or is it an indication of the low numbers of fish around our coastlines i can never remember seeing them on inland waters [bANNED TEXT] i was a kid fishing now its common to see them and goosanders even on rivers and canals that run through industrial areas.

Oh the odd bullet has be known to go a stray :thumbs:
