HW100 Mag indexing problem

Hi

I have a 'new' HW100 .177 carbine, when I say new I bought it about 3 years ago and haven't really used it much apart from zeroing the scope and shooting a few Magpies in my back garden!

Anyway, over the last few weekends myself + buddy have been gainfully helping on one of our Deer permission farmers with a 'cloud' of vermin birds in his indoor beef rearing barns (these are

'proper' barns i.e. 100 Metres square).

Anyway my HW magazines don't reliably index (rotate) between shots, it is random, sometimes a whole Mag 14 shots will function OK, then it won't work after the first couple?

I know this rifle has a 'gizzmo' that will not allow a double pellet loading, I don't know how this works, but I'm thinking that maybe the 'gizzmo' thinks that the barrel is loaded, so will not rotate the mag

to push another pellet?

I've got used to the malfunction, such that I watch the Mag when I recock, and if it doesn't turn I manually click it once to make it work.

Has anyonoe else had this problem? After all it's a £750.00 gun and ought to work properly, German engineering and so on!!!

Erm, have you seated the magazine properly and ensure that the magazine retaining catch is pushed fully forward, speaking from experience this can be a bit of a swine of these guns!

On the wiehrauch site I did remember something about the slot the mag goes into .The slot is not machined out .Each side of the slot is a seperate piece of metal bolted to gether.So the bolts my be loose or your scope may be pulling the slot together...and so on...go to wiehrauch owners site get more information.

Not had any problems with mine, had it 5 years now, not heard of this problem before, maybe just stiff from not being used.

Sorry, can't help with the indexing problem though, if it's intermittent, it sounds like it is maybe not being installed correctly, but I'm guessing you have checked that it is.

as said before, retaining catch mate. make sure it had been pushed fully forward each time you install the mag.

Me too rob - omfg!

Mine's been faultless and never had a misfeed in 6 years of lots of use.

As others have posted, I'd try the weihrauch owners forum, failing that, take it back to the shop - on such a high quality gun this is clearly unacceptable.
