midnight 657 Posted February 4, 2012 Report Share Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) hello again 5 blanks in total this timei just want to say sorry but it is first come first serve as usual , some on here don honour agreements and i got left with items ! so there are 4 laser cut and one hand forged damascus blanks. the laser cuts are as follows . over all length 8" handle and blade both 4" they are cut by the laser from 4mm 01 tool steel . then proffesionaly heat treated in a saltbath and tempered inbetween plates to keep them straight . HRC scale of 57-59 so they will hold an edge longer than most but still sharpen when you need to with out power tools. then i cut the profile of the blade and grind it , they are all flat ground with a very very thin micro bevel and sharp as !!! they are "smooth finnished" to 120 grt and then buffed with wax . all come with the correct size brass lanyard tube and 2 solid brass pins . posted to you @ £25 each .ALL SOLD . , they have passed aproval by everyone iv showed from climbers feild crafters , hunting and shooting types so im confidant they are good. im not able to fit handles and sheath these currently so its a project for you ! more to follow soon (some pattern welded stuff and more laser cuts ) next up is a very nice tiny damascus stick tang blade . 4" in total length 2" blade hand forged by me from 15n20 and en45 steel . its heat treated and tempered then acid etched . looks very nice with a deep etch , would look good set in antler maybe . bargin @ £12.50 postedsold to waidman another nice deal with fast payment ! as i say watch out for more any day . all the best matt . ps please pm before payment if you have bought before there has been problems with paypal.
